LCAW event: “The No-Bull Conversations” about the breakthroughs we really need

One Day. Five Conversations about the breakthroughs we really need.

Date: 23 June

Time: 9:00-19:30 BST

Location: Somerset House, New Wing (View on Google Maps)

For London Climate Action Week, we are hosting the “No-Bull Conversations” at Somerset House – a series bringing together interesting minds across sustainability, business, and academia to explore the practical realities of delivering sustainable outcomes.

From transition planning, over the impact of AI, to food production systems, we’re taking a step back from the headlines to explore the structural, political and economic barriers, and where the real breakthroughs might come from.

In partnership with SLR and WAP, we are facilitating the following panel sessions with leaders from WEF, Oatly, BBC, Maersk, ABB, On Running, and more:

  • 9:00-10:00 Our food system is broken: what will it take to fix it?

  • 10:45-11:45 What are the real costs of the AI infrastructure boom?

  • 12:30-13:30 How do we fix sustainability’s language problem?

  • 14:30-15:30 Why is product reinvention so hard?

  • 16:30-17:30 Transition plans: more action or just more disclosure?

  • 17:30-19:30 Join us for drinks and nibbles to digest the day

Logistics:

Somerset House's New Wing is located on Lancaster Place, London WC2R 1LA, just off the Strand. The nearest tube station is Charing Cross (Bakerloo, Jubilee, and Northern lines, 8-minute walk).

If cycling, there are Santander Cycle docking stations nearby on Surrey Street and Waterloo Bridge. We'd encourage you to avoid driving given limited parking in the area, but if needed, the nearest NCP car park is on Parker Street.
